What are some of the ways you stay motivated and challenged while trying to lose weight. I am just starting again and hope to do better this time. Positive thinking has really been helpful. I also am trying to slowly go into it. So that I don't stress myslef out. I do what I can and try to do a little more the next day.

I had the same problem. I joined Weight Watchers Online. You have access to tons of recipes and you can electronically exactly what you eat everyday. I find that really helps. I have lost about 20 lbs. using the system. Check it out.

I love danceing, and I actually have started danceing around the house again. :) it's fun, I couldn't do it for a while because i lived on the top floor of an apartment building and the people below me complained about everything!

I may have to try that postcard thing! I can't put anything on the fridge though, I live in a house with a ton of people, it would just get lost anyway.

Seeing any physical change toward your goal will motivate you. If you're like me, one of the keys is to keep busy and never allow yourself to eat out of boredom. Good luck.

I think my biggest problem is eating when I'm bored, or stressed, or sad. I'm getting better at it.. yey! but I still need to work on that. I do know I'm not alone though

I think it's better to lose weight slowly because ou have more chance not to gain it again. 4 yars ago, when my ex left me, I lost about 16 pounds in only 2 month. But guess what, I gain that weight back with 10 more lol. Last year I decide to eat a little bit more healthier and drinking more water then I use too. I lost 10 pounds in 4-5 month and I didn't got then back. Right now I'M at the same weight but I wish I could motivatate again and I also want to lose 10 pounds this years (I still have 20pounds to lose formy health and 5 just for me :P)

I kinda did the same thing, I lost 50lbs after I graduated high school, I did it in 6 months. I kept it off for 1 1/2 years, but then I went back to school and gained it all back +30lbs. I'm just starting to try again and I'm just going to try to go slow and steady.

I would say staying positive and going slow are great. I have also made sure that friends and coworkers know I'm working at it so first they tend to check on you which keeps you honest and second they tend to not bring in too many horrible things at work so you aren't tempted. It also works well to set small goals and reward yourself when you get to them. I still have a long way to go but am nearing one of my mini goals so I will reward myself with a new pair of earrings or something small like that. Good luck on your journey.

Motivation seems to be the key word. To keep motivation on going is to be proud of your results. Keeping a check of your results is taking a measure of your weight and your body measuremnts at regular intervals, and keeping a daily progress chart in a diary so you can look back at your results progressing..
