Yes, like I can rate this discussion. You can rate my reply. I can also rate the replies you get on this discussion from other posters. Yes, you can rate until your heart is content. :-)

I rate everyone who replies to my discussions.
I rate the discussions that I reply to.
I do not rate the replies to other peoples' discussions unless I happen to notice something very good. If I rated all those replies I'd be here all day and I'm bad enough as it is.

I rate everybody who replies to my topics, but I don't know if I should rate people who repy to other peoples topics. I don't think it would be fair of me to give somebody a negative, just because I didn't like a response that they might have given to your topic. However, there have been times when I have noticed a copied and pasted response and I have left a comment and a negative rating, for the person who copied. I suppose if the facility is there, then it is for our use. I will watch this topic to see if somebody else has any ideas.

Nooo .. I would never have time to post anything .. surely the ratings are there for the exceptionally good posts to get a + rating and the one word answers top get a - rating ..
AS I read through I hand out the + or - ratings then about a week after I started the discussion I go back to award a best response ..

Yes we are supposed to rate everything we read.. like I'm doing here, I rated your discussion and I rated about 3 or 4 responses as i read through your discussion, good responses got a + and things I disagree with or not accurate I don't rate, I only give - rate for spam posts even if they were not in my own discussion. also I would report abuse in any place I happen to notice it not just in my own discussions or in comments to a response of mine
