Does eye therapy really improve eye sight?

Everyone I know, including my whole family and all my friends claims that this is a myth. I have even read on many website pertaining to eyes and vision that it is not true, however, I also read of so many people who swear by it. It depends on a number of factors, I guess. I have never seen living proof one way or the other. But it certainly can't hurt to try! =)
