In my opinion,We Chinese celebrate new year at a different time from the rest of the world because we Chinese have a exclusive calendar that called Moon calendar. The Moon calendar records the moon's condition, from it appears in the orient to diappears in the west. When it is the 15th or 16th day of a Moon calendar month, the moon is exactly like a plate. The Chinese new year day is exactly the last day of the Moon canlendar.
