How do you think animal abusers should be punished

I had this thought in mind and would like your opinion on how people who abuse animals shld be punished
shld we do the same things to them which they have done to animals or shld the be given the death sentence.ven animals have a hearth and can feeel like us.

I think they should get jail time. It all depends on what State you live in as to what the punishment is. Most of the time it is just a slap on the wrist, a small fine and then they go home. A person that abuses an animal a lot of the times go on to abusing people. I say, lock them up.
