What is the longest (or shortest) surname of a person you know personally; or you have heard of? Is there some kind of a record for the longest one? I know a couple of ones. What country of origin would you think has the longest surnames?

i had read this many years back, there was a guy named "mukkapati soma sitaram chandra venkatalaxmi narsimha satyasaya chakraborty" in india. was in the limca book of records (india) i dont know who holds the record right now. but this information is about 10 years old. we used to ask this question in a general knowledge quiz!! hehehe imagine if he tells his name just the way james bond does.. "bond.. james bond!!" ;)
