Is poverty the only problem in India?

I have seen alot of poor people here in India, Though Indians are hardworking and more work concious in work but still its been seen that there is alot of poverty ratio in India. People are dying each and every day just of poverty, they dont have proper place of staying and they dont get to eat proper food, so is it the same problem with other countries or just in India. and what should be the cure for the same.

well i think poverty is just kind of a unwanted fruit frm a tree whose roots r "corruption"

You cant skip this by telling corruption as the major thing, but people are the main who gives birth to such political powers in india.
