It is has been a long journey from the time of Non Aligned Movement to todays visible US leaning. The advantages of being aligned with super power may seem obvious. As a nation are we adopting the right strategy? We gave a meek and muted response to Saddam's hanging who was considered a friend of India and had supported India on the issue of Jammu and Kashmir. We are in the process of signing the Nuclear deal with US, the Hyde Act, which in fine print has many detrimental things to India's long term security. Is friendship with US a win win situation? Your response and thoughts please.
