When did you become a Ween fan?

I was at City Gardens in Trenton new at some show, can't remember the band. In between bands they would play extremly loud music over head. They would also make announcements for their upcoming shows. The announcer, who I believe was Andrew Weis a future member of Ween and The Rollins Band, kept announcing that next the "Tibetan Bowlers and Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeen" would be there. He would extend the "een" part for so long that he had the crowd turn on him. As usual in those days everyone finally just started joining in on the announcement. My friends and I went home and made a commitment to be there to see these guys who ever they were. Day of show. Deaner comes out and is tuning, he announces that "We are Ween" to scattered applause. If I remember correctly he was playing an old Fender Mustang and smoking. Me and my buddies noticed there was no drum set and so far it appeared to be one guy. The other 12 people there were doing the same. Deaner may have had a sister there who was wearing overalls and I found her attractive. Deaner turns around and has now tied the sleeve to a red T-shirt around his head like an old fashioned fighter pilots leather helmet, it covered his ears and he looked completely ridiculous. My buddies and I said, this is going to be good! Deaner announces again that "we are Ween" and starts calling Gener down from loft where the bands hung out. "Gener, where are you man, we have show to do, get down here you...". Finally Gener comes out wearing MC Hammer Pants, a chef's hat, a whit t-shirt ans swimmer's goggles which have been spray painted silver with 2 pin holes cut out so he can see. He was Papa Zit, Eddie Dingle and every other character he has created in the lyrics of their songs. From "You F***ed Up" to "Weed W***e" to "Hippies Smell" to their upcoming album, I remain a fan and have loved the journey.
