Love at first sight is physical infatuation.. we can't love someone without really knowing them because it's the personality and attitude is what really matters not that the face and figure .. But sometimes the first sight infatuation is followed by real love after the two people get to know each other and they call it love at first sight.

I agree with you on the point that we can't love someone without knowing them.It is entirely possible that they might get to know each other and like each other. It also can be included in the true love category. We cant exactly call it love at first sight though.

Well I'd always believed it impossible - until it happened to me. Naturally it could be classified more as "Lust at first sight" because how can you love someone you don't know at all. Yet I did. It was the first week of university and I arrived at my mathematics lecture and sat next to a girl I had met on the first day. After a while I realized she knew the guy beside her-and he was CUTE! She introduced us and I fell - HARD. I promised myself I'd marry this guy. We became best friends and after a couple of years I told him how I felt - the feelings had only intensified. It took him a couple of months but one day he told me he loved me too and the rest, as they say is history. In March we will have been happily married for 26 years. He still makes time for me - taking me out on dates regularly. In our circle of friends we are known as the *honeymooners* because we still hold hands and kiss in public. So love at first sight? Yes, it happened to me. I once read a birthday book that said people born on the same day as me will fall in love at first sight, and another friend of mine who shares my birthday happened to have done the same!

It's really possible. It was that way with my husband and I. We saw each other and it was instant. We were only together for about 4 months and he asked me to marry him. On our first date he told me we would be married in less than a year. He was right. We are soul mates and will be married for 18 years in June.

I can remember the first time I saw my hubby. Was bartending and he walked by the quickie window and he looked. Shortly after that he began coming in and although I was seeing someone else I noticed him. We began going out in March and then married in November. We have been married for more than 20 years. It is possible and just need to be open to it and satisfied with yourself so that you are the best you when you meet someone that might just be for you!

The idea of "love at first sight" is absurd. How can one say they love a person they've only seen once? As far as I know love is about acceptance and decisions, accepting the other person's flaws and deciding to understand them for the rest of your life.

I don't know if the term absurd would be the correct term. I believe that love at first site is the power of meeting your true soul mate that overtakes you and shows you the love!

I don't know. I think that there is definately attraction at first sight. Lust at first sight. But I also think there is something else. Have you ever met someone and just felt this instant feeling like the two of you were connected somehow? Like maybe you knew them in a past life? Or maybe you just know that the two of you met for a reason... or are supposed to be together... do you get what I mean?

love is nothing , it is just a physical attraction and end when they both made physical relation with them.

Yes I agree with Anil.It ends with the physical attraction and never progresses deeper than that. When they get into a physical relation they get over the attraction at first sight. But the true love is not based on first sight.

love at first??? i dont believe in it really what you feel at the first glance to a man is only admiration on how cute he was or how he can handle himself...coz love can only be feel thru constant dating and when you got to know each other well but some maynot feel love eventually ...

I dont believe in such thing as love in first sight. It is a ridiculous notion. The couple dont even know each other. It is just attraction between the both of them. They may feel friendly to them and like them based on their behaviour at the time. But they dont really have any time to know each other and it is not possible to fall in love at first sight. It is also way too early to judge anything based on a look.Even the longer and stronger relationships have failed in the past.A love based on the first attraction is destined to follow the same way.

Yes love at first sight can exist but it is actually "lust at first sight" and not love, although it is possible and does in fact happen, that some people will get to know each other and come to love each other deeply. However that love comes with knowledge of the person, rather than just the initial glance, look or whatever. The night I met my husband I was instantly attracted to him, and obviously he felt the same, as we went on our first official date the following day. We continued to see each other almost on a daily basis from then on, became engaged 5 months after meeting and then married 9 months after that. We have now been happily married for 36 years. Throughout that time our love has grown and changed in many different ways and neither of us would have it any other way. So, yes lust at first sight can become deep abiding love for someone that you cannot imagine life without.

No such thing as love. But, there is such a thing of physical attraction strong. Love comes slowly, when you learn more about the person and see their character.

Being realistic, I wouldn't say that LOVE at first sight is possible. I am, however a believer in the notion through experience. When I first seen her, we were 14/15 years old and of course I got those butterflies, but it really did feel different. We only lasted a few months then broke up for about 3 years. I bumped into her again in town when we were about 17/18 and felt the same thing only much stronger. We've never been apart since (10 years ago) and recently married and had a baby

Yes, I have experienced it myself! Love at first sight was like you were stuck by lightning! Suddenly myheart are beating so fast, I am sweating and panicking for no reason at all! And before I know it I will start blushing and stuttering. lol... That was my experience when I first met my husband.
