It is very interesting to see that you think that there is only one true black metal band. Though often "true black metal" is supposed to mean obscure and inaccessible. While it could be argued that Darkthrone is inaccessible, it would be incredibly hard to convince the metal community that they are obscure. So...why do you think that Darkthrone is the only true black metal band?

'true' is synonymous with a 'bad production'. darkthrone is the probably the only black metal band around that hasn't spent a dime on production that's why they remain 'true' unlike emperor, mayhem or immortal who decided to grow and evolve as musicians, therefore 'selling out'.;)

I'm not sure if I can compile a list of albums that I particularly like. Though my favourite black metal bands are Windir, Burzum, Enslaved, Immortal, Sigh, Profundi, Satyricon and Summoning. As you can see, the specific style of black metal varies, but I think you can all agree (or at least I think) that the songwriting is masterful in all these bands.

I have a pretty wide range of tastes when it comes to metal, but I've never really gotten into black metal. It's just a bit too extreme for me, though some stuff I have does have its influences or does border on it at times.
