Work seperating relationships?

I am married since 2 years. I had a job which had a fixed duty so in the first year of my marriage we(husband and wife) used to get lot of time and enjoyed moving around etc. In the second year of my marriage i got a job where I was not able to spend my time with my wife. I got so frustrated that I left the job.(also the second reason was less job satisfaction). I am spending time with my wife now adequately, but I often see people who are at higher post and want good salary that they spend very less time at home, I dont know in future what to do?? To work at lower level and spend time with the family or go at higher level and earn money? I am totally confused , please give me the expert opinions, Thanks in Advance!
