Oh, I love couscous. My mom makes it all the time now since I introduced her to it. My favorite way is with a little olive oil, minced garlic and parmesian cheese. Mmmm I may have to make a little for a snack..lol My niece makes it and adds a little butter and puts it in a small baking dish. Then she sprinkles sugar/cinnamon on top and puts it under the broiler for a minute or two to lightly brown the top. I don't care for it that way but she loves it. She eats it for breakfast alot.

I think all North Africans eat it (especially Morroccans) and yes, it's available in most supermarkets here and is very tasty. It's sort of a wheat-based alterntive to rice.

It cooks up so quick and easily and is very versatile...you can add just about anything to it. My mom makes a yummy pasta salad-like recipe with it that has mango, dried cranberries, peppers, and green onions.

I like it. I got some from an organic grocery store. If you do happen to but it with a flavoring in it, don't forget about it. I did and I discovered that it had gotten moldy. I would love to find plain couscous and flavor it myself. I think it would be graet with beef or chicken stock! I am getting hungry....

I love couscous and they are very easy to prepare. Easier and quicker than rice. When we were in Africa, I alternate couscous, rice and polenta.
