should the use of plastics be banned??

in order to save our environment from degrading due to overuse of plastics...do u think all non-biodegradable goods such as plastics be banned?? i think so..

to some extent it should be banned becoz here i india every shop uses plastic bags so a better alternative has to be chalked out and then it should be banned
