Well, the big man apparently got burnt out after a whole year of dealng with Terrell Owens, and got pushed over the line after Tony Romo's grand chokejob in the playoffs. After 19 years, Parcells hangs it up. You did have a good career Bill, so hats off, and happy retirement. Homeboy won some Super Bowls with the Giants. Hopefully Marty's turn for the big game comes next year.

I do not believe that we have seen the last of Bill Parcells. My prediction is that after a year off he will be back with another team, most likely the Giants. He definitely could not put up with T.O. and Jerry Jones wants to keep T.O. so that may have had something to do with his retirement. I think he will back, whether as a coach or in a management position.

I hadn't heard this--found out first from you, Hassan! Can't say I blame him, though if he really wanted to stay the 'Boys would have gotten rid of Owens to keep him, don't you think? Yeah, Romo had a bad game, but otherwise a great season. I'm definitely grateful for the titles he brought to the Giants. If he's really retired for good, I wish him luck. Happy trails, Big Tuna!

Well, that is so good for him. I am sure that he needs it since he has been working for long. Happy retirement to him.

Without a doubt Parcells will have floods of offers coming in ranging from commentator to general manager. But, I don't think we've seen the last of his coaching days. He has had great success over the years and I think he will be back to coaching in no time. Although I'm not a Cowboys fan I am from Texas and was hoping that he would be able to lead them in the right direction. I think if they had avoided TO and all the baggage that he carries Parcells would have taken them all the way next year. We'll just have to wait and see what happens.

I'm not really surprised. Bill is a class act and good coach. I don't think TO had as much to do with him retiring as Jerry Jones. Jones is way too intrusive for an owner. He never lets his coaches coach their way. Until Jones learns to sit in the owners suite and keep his mouth shut, the Cowboys won't keep a good coach for long.
