How many have you tried that really work? I tried Jenny Craig a few years back and it worked the sad thing about it was, that it cost too much. how many have tried this one and have lost weight? is it worth it or is there another way?

Diet could work when you really put your heart on it. I myself never did any diet. Though once I was so overweight to my own judgement, I didn't do any diet at all. However, I loved to fast. Which I think it's more reliable than diet. In our country, there is also some kind of pills that you can drink. The purpose of that pill is to loose your appetite or craving in eating. It does the charm, but I wouldn't recommend any pills, either. If you wouldn't mind discipline yourself, maybe you could eat moderately everyday, but at night time try to drink only and eat fruits instead. (no heavy food) In time, I think it will work. That's what my mom use to do.

I have tried dieting quite a few times over the past many many years and only lost a few pounds and would put them back on. It wasnt until after my third child (176lbs), I hit a point of depression over my weight. I made a new year resolution with my husband to lose weight. We worked on this together since we were both overweight. We took it one day at a time, teaching ourselves what we should and should eat. To us we re programmed our minds, changed our eating habits. It worked and wasnt hard at all but didnt happen over night. Last year two and a half - three years later my husband lost 50 lbs still wants to lose more I reached my goal plus more and I am still mainting my weight. Good luck to all you dieters. You can do it if you set your mind to it.

thats so wonderful and thanks for sharing, best of luck with you and him with maintaining it. see for people that have a partner to help them keep on with it, it works others that try alone feel discuoraged and give up after a short time. find someone to work with you and stick with it. my hubbie works out with me and like you Catmat, i am working on it and hope to accomplish my goal. thanks again

I usually just try not to eat any deserts, low fat and don't eat past 6 pm. plus i only drink a lot of green tea with lemon juice inside and lots of water. of course i exercise a little bit with pilates, that works best for me and you can do it at home. and maybe i should note that i'm a vegetarian and eat no meat or fish.....but as long as you jst cut back a little bit on meat, it should have the same effect. ciao vicky
