I do..I find it's a great way to "de-stress"Many people use different techniques to meditate.. I like to just lay down in a dark room and play some music..I love some Native American drum and flute cds I have for this kind of thing.. Do you meditate? What techniques do you find helpful?

Well technically this is not meditation. Meditation primarily is about quietening the mind and being in a no mind state. You are being stimulated by the senses. Meditation is void of the senses. I do Third Eye meditation which is a point of going inward, into a metaphysical state. It is much much more centering than music. It creates stillness. Music and the use of your senses takes you outward. Even though it is relaxing, it is still an outward state.

No I dont but have tried it though. I think its a big waste of time when you can just have a quick nap. I dont know it might work for some but was useless for me.

Yes I meditate for 15 mintues when I get home from work on an evening, I find it helps me to relax and de-stress. I practice a form of meditation that I learnt when I attented a local meditation group run by some buddhists. They taught us to sit in a chair with our backs straight and place both feet flat on the floor. We then had to close our eyes and focus on breathing through our nose. If our mind began to wander they told us not to get angry or disheartened but simply to return our focus to our breath.
