Orcs: did they have wives?

my question today is: did Orcs have Wives( so that they could reproduce and multiply) and did they have women?(same thing ) i understand that Melkor was thought to have tortured the Elven Race into the Race of Orcs, but how di he find a way to make his race double?

It sure beats me, I wonder if they'll ever have any wives(due to their bad manners). I've seen the Uruks being created and multiplied, but i've haven't seen a woman Uruk or orc around. Well I think they used some sort of witchcraft to reproduce themselves.

If there is a way they reproduce i sure as hell dont wanna be seeing that on the discovery channel! Too much blood and teeth involved i bet! haha Good reply

There were probably female goblins and orcs. They just didn't stand out that much from the males so you didn't notice the difference. I seriously doubt they married though. That seems to moral for those races.

Yea - I was watching the film and i saw a female type orc lady, true not really from the book but its an idea from mr Peter Jackson
