Anyone with same experience as John Q?

The movie John Q is all about a father's love for his kid. What he would do to save the life of his kid. I wonder, has anyone here, a father or a mother, in mylot experienced the same? It may not be life threatening, but it shows how much you love your kid that made you do things you wont normally do.

Of course. Many parents would do just that. Even if it would mean sacrificing one's life! For my part, when I've learned that my youngest son contracted leukemia I gave up my job and the farm I've worked on so hard to make it a reliable source of income which is just about two years hence. My best consolation for the decision though is that he is still living today and is much, much better now healthwise.

You're right, many parents would sacrifice anything and everything for their kids. I'm very thankful to God that we had no experience like yours or john q's where we need to sacrifice anything for any of our children. They get sick but with manageable types of illnesses. And for that I consider myself blessed. Thank you for your response.
