King Solomon, recognised by history as the wisest of all men, wrote the book of Ecclesiastes in the Bible. In this book, he repeatedly looks at life, declares it all futile and worthless. Life is repetitive and achieves nothing. This book was written towards the end of his life and as you read through the book, you see he progressed in his thoughts. He concludes: "Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: fear God and keep His commandments, for this is the whole duty of man. For God shall bring every work into judgement, with every secret thing, whether it be good or whether it be evil." I would agree with King Solomon. Without God as part of one's life, there is no meaning, no purpose, no sense. However, for 48 of my 70 years, I have known, loved and served God and my life has meaning, purpose and sense. My whole life changed when I came to know the Lord Jesus Christ as my personal Saviour. I became a different person. I have an abundant life. My loving heavenly Father undertakes for me. I love Him with all my heart and I delight to do His will.
