There was a talk about passing a city ordinance to ban sneezing in public places because it's very unhealthy and unsightly. It became a very hot issue but soon died down, nothing has been heard ever since. Do you see any sense in this idea?

I think that would be just great. Next we need an ordinance to ban breathing. But jokes apart, I think all that you can really ban is sneezing out in the open. If you use a tissue to sneeze in and the tissue is immediately sterilized, I guess that should be okay. That takes care of the health part. About the unsightly part, I guess we just need to find one individual who has never sneezed in his or her life, and ask them whether it is unsightly to sneeze.

How can you ban sneezing? that's like trying to ban breathing. You can't stop a sneeze, although you could always put your arm up so you sneeze into your sleeve instead of into other people's faces
