Can trauma be mental and physical?

Yes, it can be both. I remember my dentist saying be extra careful in biting solid food (I just had my tooth pulled out) You don't want to traumatize your gums. Physical trauma can be relieved by analgesics and pain reliever but not the mental pain.

Yes it can be both. According to my Psychology class traumas can be both. It can also be emotional trauma. They have differences and degrees.

of course and IMO they tend to go hand in hand really....if you experience physical trauma you'll more than likely also experience mental effects....and visa versa, if you experience mental trauma chances are high you'll also experience physical effects...
