There is one neat trick you can use with immediate effect. When you deliver your punch, tuck your thumb inside first. Unless you are highly trained, tucking your thumb in increases the power of the punch, and prevent it from making injured. A punch looks cool but many do not know how to deliver it properly. In fact, unless you are trained, a slap i.e. flat palm, might work better than a punch in terms of force on impact. Try it. Oh. No. I mean, don't try punching people please. :P PS.: I bear no responsibility from any injuries or deaths resulting from my post.

I will give you some info and an example routine, of something similar to what I used. Punching power is pretty much based on technique, the best technique for punching is a boxing stance. You can find an instructional about it on youtube if you don't know it. Next thing power is a mix of strength and speed. Strength comes from your legs so squats, jumproping, and running can be helpful. Next is your core/abs, do a lot of sit-ups, crunches, leg lifts, and twists. Don't forget your back you can do pull-ups and butterflys but backwards to target your back. Then don't forget shoulders, wrists, and knuckles. Try push-ups, shrugs, bench press helps too, knuckle push-ups, etc. Try some speed drills as well, if you punch with weights too long it won't benefit you. Only do it for a short time and in sets so use about 3 lbs for 20 sec's of just speed punching for 2 sets with rest inbetween. Then one set just jabs speed punching for 1 set of 20. Do that for each type of punch right uppercut, left uppercut, hooks, right hands, etc. Don't forget to dirll them on the punch pads and heavybag.

You want explosive power, so mix weights with heavy bag work, focusing on quick and 'explosive' movement. For increased muscle and strength, you want to up your protein, so eat more meat, eggs, etc. Focusing on using proper technique, practice a range of punches on a punching bag, putting in maximum effort. Keep this up and you should make good improvements and have a more powerful punch.

on my own way, increasing punch is to practice everyday. punch as many times as you can. But first you should know the proper punching. Once you knew, keep practicing with all your strength. If you can punch for million times much better. Even if your punch in a thousand times is very weak just keep on doing it until time comes that you cannot punch anymore because of being tired. To increase strength and stamina on punching, theres also other way. you have to learn the proper punching. But i guess its to much to mention. Are you a kung fu student or a master?

I like to use light weights, about 1-3 lbs while practicing the basic and advanced punches, I guess I should try punching a bag as well, but I first need to save up and buy one!
