Is windows Xp better or is vista and why?

i think vista would be better in performance as it is an improved version though i haven't tried it yet but i think it would be better.

I think XP is much better performance wise Windows Vista takes too much memory

generally speaking.vista is based on the new technology and xp seems a little bit old.so it's sure that vista offer better performance and security garantee.but vista require much more resourse than xp.if your pc is good enough,you may try vista.there's also one point you should pay attention.vista,as a new product of software,is easy to attract hikes to search its flaw,which means it may get new virus and hike attack more than xp.
