Have you ever killed or slaughtered an animal?

Killed in the sense that it's what you had to do to protect yourself and those around you and slaughtered in the sense that you're preparing for festivities.I really feel down emotionally whenever i'm meant to slaughter any whether it be a chicken,goat or ram.i don't know what generates such feeling,but i know animal right lovers do.Now i've killed snakes,scorpions and an alligator lizard with the latter taking more than two hours with the help of our neighbors,my sister kept yelling;scared she was since she's never seen anything like it,i was actually intimidated but i had to put on a man's face
