How long do you walk your human for?

I started taking mine for a quick stroll around the block but soon found it expressed a desire to stay out longer. How long does everyone walk theirs for? I call it BAD BOY! I use a stick to stop it from rearing up onto its hind legs, it has a tendency to do so whenever we let it out of the cage. Some folks cast funny looks when i take it out perhaps its an unusual breed. its also picked up a rash on its hands. Should i get it gloves or will its palms harden?
