nope, my parents especially my mom always did that for us and so I do the same for them. My son is now eight so he is still in the liking of me treating him and it really makes them feel special.

No I always get my kids something for valentines day. We also you usually go out to dinner together. I ask each of them if they will be my Valentine. They always say mommy we are your valentine every day. I always get very happy when I hear that.

I do every year. They are my valentines too. I get them a card, a flower and some little trinket at the dollar store. They love the attention and they brag at school the next day. It's a treat for me to do for them.

So true...I think of my kids as My Valentine too! My daughter always makes some cute little doo-dad at school so I always get her something special. I was thinking of getting her balloons and sending them to school this year.

Now that my baby is old enough to know special occasions, I am planning to do some activities with her like doing paper hearts and of course, I will have a special treat for her, like I was thinking I would make heart-shape cupcakes. She enjoys them a lot.

Call me sentimental or crazy, but I still buy my kids Valentines as well as a small gift, sometimes candy or cheap jewelry (I have 2 girls) and they are now 16 and 21!! I'll probably always do this because when I see their face light up, it is worth a million dollars to me!! :-)

Nope..my foster mother used to do it for me and I plan on doing it for my kids especially when they are a bit older and understand...(I have a 16 month old son and my 2nd son is due any day). But it teaches them about feeling special and love.

I buy all 3 of my boys valentines. Their favorite chocolate and a card. Just something so that that know (as if they didn't) that they are also the "loves of my lives".

I have never "bought" my kids Valentines or gifts. We might have a special dinner. Usually though, we will make cookies or some other dessert to have that day, but that's about it.

Nope, you're not the only one. I do it too, and my mother used to do it for us. Every Valentine's day, when we woke up, our places at the table were set and marked with a valentine card, a treat and a small little present (usually a red bear with a heart, or something else valentine related) And this year I'll be doing the same thing. I got my boys a little bear holding a heart and a little chocolate heart, and some small chocolate lips wrapped in red foil ( pretty cute ) and they got a cute age appropriate card. I'll be doing it every year.
