Why does America have to interfere in everything?

Starting from Vietnam, upto Afghanistan and Iraq, America interferes in everything,politically as well as militarily! Why?

Looking at it from a counrty outsite the US it seems its greed for power and money. Sorry, but no other reasons becoming obvious to me as a "spectator" of the over and over repeated US Theater!
