steve and how Bo could let him be the getaway driver

ok, yes, again I realize it's a soap :) but being 'Bo' how he can let Steve drive Shawn and Belle to get away is completely ridiculous. Bo's decisions since he let Chelsea drive his car when he wasn't supposed to have been ridiculous. I can't believe he still has his police badge.
