First of all, I say I miss you to someone more by actions than in words. I mean for me it's so easy to speak those three words eevn if u dont mean it. But when I show them by hugging them, even a big hug and a big smile when I see the person clearly states how happy I am to see or be with them again. I show friends I miss them after awhile by asking how theyve been, by talking so much an catching up and being happy just being with them again. I know theyll know how glad I am to be with their company again. I say I miss you when I have to by just saying those words as well. I dont really say it in our dialect. Just plain "I miss u".

Well what if you were away from home, say you came to live in canada or the usa, what would you say over the phone to your friends and family to tell them how much you missed them ? sometimes you can't always be with the person you miss to show them, my family is pretty far away, so i can only speak with them over the phone or internet.
