In my case, when I first learn HTML programming I was only using NOTEPAD. Try to create a page on manual coding and editing.I was aware yet that there are alot of softwares out there that lessen the burden of coding. I first heard Dreamweaver wayback 2002 and I just took its availability for granted. I still continue with my manual coding cause I find it somehow challenging and very interesting. So the first editor I used was Frontpage, because this is just somewhat like an add-ons of XP OS. Fact is, indeed it is very user friendly and I consider it even for dummies. But there are things I don't like with it. Talking of Dreamweaver? Men, I tell you this is the best so far. Through here you can create websites to extensions you wanted, either an asp, php, plain html, xml and many more (just check it yourself). If I said FrontPage is user friendly, then this one is very user friendly and it got a lot of features too, more enhanced than FRONTPAGE.. So so end up with, I give my support to Macromedia Dreamweaver...!!!

well there is not doubt that dreamwevar is by far a better software. in front page you can have erros in the html code but still you can go with that it. but in dreamweaver you can check for the errors in the page which can make the page compatible to all browsers and aslo dream wevaer has plugins which make your life easy and things which are complicated can be done with ease of clikcs

Wel i think both of them are best and popular, but dreamweaver has many features more than front page, you can design and develop every web page or script, thanks

I have never used frontpage before, but I did like Dreamweaver quite a bit. I still prefer to use notepad or any text editor for creating websites.

i have to say dreamweaver it is the best and it has great capabailities and if u are a professional web site designer u probably would apperciate it more than frontpage, however frontpage being a product of microsoft it is easier than dreamweaver to use, however there are many other more web site builders u should search and check out which are equally as good as front page if not better. Search more dun stick to these 2 brands

Dreamweaver is a LOT better than Frontpage. I've used both and I find Dreamweaver better and has more features. You can do a whole lot better in Dreamweaver (especially if you use Fireworks and Flash with it).
