Is it happy to be sad?

I wonder how other people say that they are happy to be sad... I want to know what other people say about this thing... Thanks!

It's the first time I ever heard this kind of statement, and it is strange. But sometimes my husband said to me, that sad music makes him relax than the jolly music. But being happy because of sadness kinds of kinky to me.
