My favourite is 1 and 2nd Samuel. The stories of King David...have a lot to learn from him.Rags to riches and just humble in all that he did.Even when he was annoited by Samuel and went to the Kings palace to serve Saul, He was already annoited King but waited for God to bring him into his Kingship....Still have to keep reading the story over and over again to really understand the essence of being humble in everything I do esp in Gods work , when we want the anoiting because we cannot please man and only Gods anoiting is that secret to a blessed ministry.....

Mine would personally be the Book of Acts. As I am a Pentecostal, it explains Pentecost, and why we believe the way we do. When you look back to all the wonderful things that happened back in those days, it makes you realize that anything can happen thru god. We just need to be open and willing to allow him to take control in our lives.
