What is the purpose of star rating here at mylot?

I think the higher the star rating you have the higher you get paid. I think its how they calibrate your responses as well. The better your responses are the higher your star rating is.

hi there, the purpose for the star rating is that mylot gives you a percentage rating out of 100% in regards to how much you post good and respond good etc etc, you will have a star rating when you reach 100 posts! good luck! :)

I think the stars represent how active you are in mylot and how good of a quality your posts are.

i think the star rating is like an award for mylot users on the basis of their discussion and responses. but the ratings mylot users get can affect their star reputation. normally if one gets a negative rating his star rating will decrease. on one thought, there is also a possibility that mylot started this star rating thing in order to encourage users to make quality discussions and responses and for users to spend more time in mylot.

Once you reach 100 posts you will get a star and dependign upon your effort here in mylot your star rating will increase or decrese.
