I have been once. Someone stole my social security number to get 5 different accounts from phone companies. Now, they put the theft alert on my report. Everytime anyone uses my social security number to try to get anything, they have to call the credit burear and ask for identification. Although, that is done, I still don't feel safe that no one ever is going to steal it again.
