Is Scientology a cult? Or is it for real? / myLot

What do you think about this new kind of religion? Should it even be considered as a religion? Is it for real or a cult? What are its beliefs? What is in it that there are alot of famous people who believe in it? What is Scientology?

Is scientology about God though? Do they believe in God?

I'm not sure of the details and may be wrong, but i heard that the famous director Ron Howard (Richie from Happy Days) set it up as a joke. I think it's more about inner peace and good deeds etc than god. As long as they aren't harming anyone, and are making peoples lives better, then best of luck to them.
