Father diagnosed with cancer

My 47 year old father was re-diagnosed with cancer yesterday. He was diagnosed with stomach cancer on Oct 22, 2005 and underwent chemo treatments for over 3 months. He has been in remission for almost a year now until yesterday. The cancer has now returned in his throat, neck and chest wall. The doctor said he will need to undergo chemo for 6 months now and this treatment will make him lose his hair and get very sick. Since hearing this my father has become depressed and has even said he does not want to undergo the treatment. He said he is tired of fighting. I don't know if he is serious or if it is just his nerves talking. I am a daddy's girl and I don't know what I would do without him. I am getting married next July and I am soo scared that he will not be here to walk me down the aisle. How can I be strong for him?
