Do you realize that there are now more than 62 thousand mylotters? why do some postings stay on hot discussions for days? Does it mean only 20 or 30 are worth discussing? Granting that out of 62K membership only 10% are active, that's 6 thousand discussions we are talking about. I really don't understand how the system works. Do you have an explanation?

That is a good point, but i believe most people are just posting on others discussions rather than starting their own. Also, it is possible that other peoples discussion never make it to become a 'hot topic'.
