I really wanted to donate my sons cord blood to help others that could use it. But when i requested for them to send me the kit so i could donate it, they never sent it to me. i requested it from ViaCord. Did anyone else bank or donate there baby's cord blood?

I did donate my son's cordblood. There was a sheet that our doctor gave us to sign early in the pregnancy that said if we didn't have any objections he was going to donate it. We signed it when we were about 16 weeks along I think. So then we didn't have to worry about it later. We did look at saving it, but decided it was far too expensive to store. We decided our best bet was to just let the doctor take what he wanted and be done with it.
