Sourav,Sehwag,Pathan were thrown out of Indian Cricket Team because of lack of form. Tendulkar is on worst phase of his career and on verge to retire. Do u think he has place in Indian Cricket team??

Should Sachin Tendulkar be in the Indian Team? A big question, undoubtedly. There had been a time when stars like Sunil Gavasker and Kapil Dev was also sidelined, due to non performance. But in Sachin's case, the selectors have never shown the guts to drop him from the squad. Is it because both Mr. Sharad Pawar and Mr. Dilip Vengsarkar are from Maharashtra? Are the selectors thinking, that, if they drop Sachin, they might be axed as well? Provincialism has always played a crucial role in selecting the Indian cricketing squad. However, Sachin is far above this selection process. But it is also a fact, that a player of Sacin's stature should always keep in mind, either perform or perish. Unlike Saurav, Shehwag or Pathan, he is being given a lot of scopes to perform, match after match. If Shehwag and Pathan can be shown the door after non performance in South Africa, why should not Sachin's performance be reviewed? Should he be always considered, based on his past blasts? Greg Chappel, what we understand from the media, has expressed his dissatisfaction on Sachin's performance. Sachin could not perform at all in South Africa, the dismal results are proof enough, nor is he performing well, as expected of him,in the one dayer's against West Indies, in the home series. Sachin would have found it immensly difficult, had this been an Aussi board, where perfomance is the last word. The time has come, when Mr. Vengsarkar should have a man to man talk with him. "Listen Buddy! Either perform, or join the commentators in the box."

This 2007 World Cup I am positive about him and I would love to see selectors selecting him for atleast 2007 complete year.
