how do you define a broken home.

I have heard so many people throw around the term" broken home" . What do you define as a broken home? Do you define this as a couple who broke up and are raising the kids seperatly. Do you define this as a home where the parents are abusing their children? what truly defines a broken home?

A broken home is a place where the love is not present. Where the feelings are broken, the children are not given love, no one gives a .... about what is happening with each other.
