I am currently taking up accountancy. But I feel confused if I'm really meant to do this job. I do this especially during hard exams. I wonder if I'm better off being a doctor. Both my parents are doctors and I think it's an exciting job although I'm scared of the thought of being responsible for the lives of other people. How did you choose? please share.

I am a neurobiologist. More particularly, I am a marine neurobiologist who specializes in dolphins. When I was a child, I wished I would become a teacher, but realizing that I have such a short temper and I easily get annoyed by kids, I decided that it was time for me to explore other things. So, I decided to become a marine neurobiologist. I think that I made the right choice. I mean, there are already lots of teachers, nurses doctors, etc. So, even if there is a high demand for all these professions, being a non-conformist, I think that there's nothing unique about those jobs anymore.

i chose my profession on the basis of how i feel about it. at first i took up engineering but deep in my heart i know i wanted a different course. so on my 2nd year i shifted to another course on political science. i ended up becoming a political analyst. i love my course. i dont regret taking it. so if you dont feel like accountacy is your field, dont stay in it. follow what you really want. that is by doing what you love that you get to really excel effortlessly.

You know, I have the same predicament as yours. I'm already in my second year in Accountancy but I'm still not sure about my course. I chose it a few years ago as the course to take because many want to take it like its a trend course (like nursing). Another reason is accounting is a high paying job. Hehe.
