flag flying at half staff

when flying the american falg at half staff is it proper to also fly other flags at half staff or should they be removed fro their respective poles.

They should be lowered as well, as a sign of respect, not not removed.

Why should all the other flags be flown at half staff if the American flag is? No I think all other flags should be left alone.
