If you are ever feeling sick or if you are having problems with your voice before a vocal exam by all means try and rescheduel it. Most vocal teachers know what it is like to be sick and then have to go and sing. One of the best things to drink before you go to bed is warm tea with honey. Not hot tea because you can damage your throat if it is too hot. The tea and the honey will sooth your throat. Also try to avaoid foods that are high in acid the day of your exam, this includes citrus products like orange juice. Milk is also bad for the throat before your exam because it will cause the mucous in your throat to become thicker and it feels quite uncomfortable. Water is always good for you in these circumstances. There are mixed feeling about adding lemon to the water, personally I don't believe in it. Som epopel say that it opens up the pores in your mouth and prevents you from getting a dry mouth while singing. I personally feel that the acid in the lemon can cause more damage to your throat. Ask around and see what works for othe vocal performers. I was a tuba major so all I had to pass was my voice proficiency exams.

There some tips i can use here, thank you so much for the tips. I will practicing it for my good. Is it really ok when we're not perform well in the test, then we can blame our vocal performance, maybe for some reason, it won't get the full potential on that day, even after practicing good tips. Have you ever experienced it?

Sometimes the stress of the exam or the performance can cause your mouth to be dry or even cause your voice to be shaky. If you are a first time performer it can be difficult. I have been performing music since I was 10 years old so I never had these problems as I grew into an adult. I have always enjoyed performing for people whether it is for a test or for a performance. The only advice that I can give to you when you get to your exam is to be confident in yourself and believe that your preparation for the exam was enough. If you have logged enough time practicing you are going to do fine. Don't be intimidated by whoever is watching you and most of all try to enjoy the experience. I failed my first voice proficiency exam in college because it was my first time in front of a panel of professors that had to sit through about 500 others that day. I was nervous and it showed. The second time I knew what to expect and I nailed it.
