Whats the minimum age to use computer?

as long as the child can understand & read, you may introduce him to computer. but you can first introduce him to toy compouters which are educational. computer softwares are not s friendly to young ones or kids. better yet, buy him his own set of faux computer.

I really dont think there is a specific age, its completely up to the parents really but i agree that the sooner the better since they work with computers VERY young in school now....BUT I think its important that they learn basics as well...I mean for example my kids are allowed to do school reports on the computer for extra points/credits/higher mark which is fine BUT I make them write it out by hand first so they dont rely SO MUCH on the computer..same with math, we like them to try and do some of it manually before picking up the calculator and so on.... My neice started using the computer when she was 2 and she's 5 now and goes online (to certain sites only, she knwos where she allowed to go) by herself and everything...
