What did it/they do? We hear enough about people who are depressed, feel unloved, lonely or lost something(one). Let's hear it from those who greet each day with a little postivity. What made you smile today? PLease, NO one or two word answers.

I picked up a copy of my university's newspaper...and right in the middle of it was a poem that my boyfriend wrote for me and submitted to be published! It's the Valentine's Day edition of the paper, but coincidentally, it printed on our 4-month anniversary. And, I might add, my boyfriend is an AMAZING poet, and the poem was gorgeous.

Our 3-year old son.. I got home at past 1am last night after attending a tribute to a deceased fraternity brod. At around 3am his diaper had to be changed, his momma did that (hehe)..when he saw me lying there on the bed, he shouted "Papa!".. which woke me up. I told him, "I have something for you." He answered, "Wow! What is it?" I said, "It's there beside you," it was a free toy I got from McDonalds, a BIonicle toy. His mom, of course, was still busy changing his diaper. Paolo, our son, got the toy and said "WOW! What is it, papa?" And i told what it was. Then we told him to go back to sleep. At about 5a.m., he woke up again and I woke up, too. He asked that I open the plastic containing the toy, which I did. After I opened it, he was still figuring out what the toy was. It was dark so he can only sense the shape and the features of the toy. So, he asked that I turn on the light so he can see it. When I did, he was blinded and he was squinting at the light. He looked funny and he was really struggling to open his eyes to look at the toy. After a short while I turned off the light again and asked him to go back to sleep. His mom was like, "pleease, it's still dark, let's all just go back to sleep.." At around 630a.m. i woke up, it was already morning with the sun up, i got the toy from Paolo, and with a tip of the toy tickled his nose with it. LOL..He smiled and woke up and played with the toy...

My kids always make me smile, especialy my 3 1/2 year old. If I'm upset she'll say "Mommy, you be happy" and that always changes my mood for the better. Lately she's been saying a bunch of crazy things that are just so cute. Like yesterday I told her the sun was really bright and she said..."Dats why itsda sun" It was so simple. We adults get so caught up in our busy lives that we don't even take time to realize that "the sun is bright and that's why it's the sun" hehehe

WHenever I feel sad or depressed, I just think of reasons why I should be happy. I think of my friends, family, and my loved one. They never fail to make me smile.

I'd say several things. My little dog Rainbow a real sweetie! She always makes me laugh. Commercials are tv are SO dang funny now a days! But as far as people. First up my sister Melody. WE always go insane with each other, and sometimes we are funnier then normal together. Normal is really wierd for us. :)) She made jokes and so did I cause we were both tired and taking a tap dance class at the college. Thats my last thing that made me smile: my tap dance teacher. He is ALWAYS so funny! Class is a JOY just cause its funny when he makes jokes all the time! haha!! I love to laugh so bring it on doggie, sister, commericals and my teacher! :D

My daughter. She always makes me smile. She was running a fever and just wanted to cuddle all day (which she usually never does). It was so sweet.

what made me smile today was the same thing that makes me smile everyday, seeing my children awake and fresh and ready for the day ahead. It never fails to lighten my load seeing them so enthusiastic over the day to come, their excited chatter and plans. Oh how i wish we could keep that beauty and infectious laughter in to adulthood, but life oh so quickly robs us of it. blessed be

My hubby made me smile today...sometimes we are too busy to even spend a second together...and other times we are too serious thinking about our day-to-day affairs, that there is not even the chance to smile...but he said some funny (light-hearted) things, that made us both smile and laugh. And, that is when I remember that it has been a while since we've felt light and free. It is good.
