Is electronic communication System important in IT?

I am an IT student and im wondering if it was important in my subject.My instructor teach about circuits and resistance,voltages and so on...

Dear dude yes i said is 100% correct electronic communication is many point, with out communication we can't research any thing.
The Electronic Journal of Probability publishes full-size research articles in probability theory. The Electronic Communications in Probability (ECP), a sister journal of EJP, publishes short notes and research announcements in probability theory.
Both ECP and EJP are official journals of the Institute of Mathematical Statistics
and the Bernoulli society.
