New Seasons, Whole Foods, Trader Joes, Wild Oats, you don't see them in the Northeast where I live. Except for recent openings of Trader Joes, a great store with reasonable prices. When visiting Portland Oregon, New Seasons is the choice. Beautifully displayed fruits and vegetalbles. What I like about New Seasons, is their Fresh lunch area. There you can order a sandwich that you design yourself, or get a bowl of Sausage and bean soup for 1.49. and eat it right there in their store. It's always mobbed, because the choices are many and the food organic. Why don't we have stores like that on the East Coast?

A new Whole Foods was opened in Chicago and these people almost lost their minds. Talk about demand.

In the Southeast they have Whole Foods Markets, not many but there are a couple in each state. There should be a couple of Whole Foods Markets Northeast as well. Some small grocery store chains carry small varieties of organic foods, but not many!!

If you're in the Northeast there should be a Whole Foods near you, they're expanding quite a bit in that area. I hadn't even heard of them a few years ago. Whole Oats I don't recall seeing in the Northeast anywhere.
