Suicide bombers, should we forgive them?

We keep seeing suicide bombers very frequently. I just heard one more bombing in Pakistan. I feel that none of us are immune to these attacks. I feel that these people (the actual bombers) are carried away by some idealogy. Leaving out their act of voilence, we can see there are many great qualities we all would appreciate in them like dedication, loyalty, faith, ready to give their life for something they believe. Except that they used these great qualities for doing something wrong. Considering these great qualities or due to pity, should we forgive their act of voilence? or since they are killing many innocent people should we punish them?
