the star represents the reputation of a person in mylot. the higher the number, the higher the reputation is. a mylot user gets a star rating only when he reaches 100 posts. his star rating is determined by mylot on the basis of the ratings a person gets that is + or - negative rating, or the best response.

ive been here for a month in mylot. the star system is just newly implemented say a a week ago. when it was first implemented i got a rating of 7 then after two days a star rating of 8, then it slowly climbed up to a star rating 9. im working to get the star rating 10.

The little star is something you will get once you have 100 posts. The numbers have to do with ratings. I'm not exactly sure how the numbers work, although I'm sure someone else will be able to answer that part. Welcome to mylot and happy posting :)

Thank XxAngelxX. That helps a whole bunch. Its good to (finally) get some responses. But, I've only been a member for 11 hrs. So what do I know?! loll And thanks again for the response! Something else I was wondering about: does typos & misspelling count AGAINST you any?
